” Prana-pratish…

Prana-pratishtha does not imply energisation of external murthis but internally, as establishing the Prana or Deity (pervading nature of Brahman in the Jivatman or heart) and meditating upon such. The relationship of Brahman to Jivatman is that of vyapaka (pervader) and vyapya (pervaded).

The Vedic culture was hence centered upon the Hridaya – the [spiritual] heart (of consciousness) in Yoga, the inner application.
